cooperation agreement in order
to facilitate double entry pro-
cess between the two bourses, as
well as cooperation in enhanc-
ing the technological infrastruc-
ture and informatics for the
Bahrain Bourse to contribute
to facilitate the flow of invest-
ment between the two countries.
The MoU was signed by CEO of
Bahrain Bourse Sheikh Khalifa
bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa in pres-
ence of the Minister of Industry,
Commerce & Tourism. The sign-
ing agreement followed by Ring-
ing the bell to open the trading
session celebrating the signing
agreement and joint coopera-
tion between the two bourses.
On this occasion, the Minister of
Industry, Commerce and Tour-
ism, Minister in Charge of Bah-
rain Bourse Mr. Zayed R. Alzayani
said that “the signing agreement
between the two bourses is part of
a series of cooperation agreements
and memorandums of under-
standing, which was signed during
the successful visit by His Majesty
King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa
to the Arab Republic of Egypt.”
The Minister added that this
agreement reflects the sincere
desire of the officials in both
countries to take all measures to
overcome all obstacles that hinder
exchange of investments in gener-
al in all sectors in the two bourses.”
From His part, the CEO of Bah-
rain Bourse said that this agree-
ment will enhance the level of
cooperation between the two
bourses and will certainly open
the way to create many investment
opportunities for all investors.”
Dr. Mohammed Omran said
that the agreement is an import-
ant step towards deepening the
Egyptian Bourse relations with
the Arab bourses, especially
with regard to dual entry, where
the Egyptian Bourse is focus
to attract regional companies.
He added that the two bourses will
cooperate to enhance the techno-
logical infrastructure and infor-
mation. The Minister expressed
his hope for all parties concerned
to benefit from this agreement.
