BAHRAIN BOURSE SIGNS AN AGREEMENT WITH FLAT6LABS
Bahrain Bourse & Flat6labs signed
on Tuesday 1 st March, 2017 a co-
operation agreement towards joint
action in the field of developing an
entrepreneurship culture in Bah-
rain, specifically in relation to Bah-
rain Bourse’s recently announced
Bahrain Investment Market.
The MoU was signed by Sh. Khal-
ifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, CEO
of Bahrain Bourse, Mrs. Sabah Al
Moayed, Chairperson of Flat6Labs
Bahrain and Mr. Hany El-Sonbaty,
Co-Founder of Flat6Labs at BHB’s
premises during which Mr. Hany
El-Sonbaty rang the bell to com-
mence Tuesday’s trading session.
Under the agreement, both enti-
ties will work together to strength-
en and facilitate the development
of an ecosystem for growth
of companies within Bahrain.
Bahrain Bourse (BHB), through
its Bahrain Investment Market,
understands the needs of a holis-
tic Ecosystem for entrepreneurs
to thrive with accelerator pro-
grams such as Flat6Labs, hereby
facilitating the growth of entre-
preneurs and the high impact
they will have on the economic
growth of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Ecosystem will also enable
entrepreneurs to benefit from In-
dustry experts in the form of boot
camps, mentoring and training.
It is worth mentioning that BIM is
one of the initiatives launched by
the Bourse to meet the financing
requirements of the companies.
The launch of the BIM goes
in line with the role played by
Bahrain Bourse to enhance the
Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts in
supporting the SMEs sector in
a way that will contribute to the
economic growth of Bahrain in
order to create more job oppor-
tunities for the citizens, create
wealth, and increase productivity.
Flat6Labs is a regional startup ac-
celerator program that fosters and
invests in bright and passionate
entrepreneurs with cutting-edge
ideas. They provide seed fund-
ing, strategic mentorship, a cre-
ative workspace, a multitude of
perks, entrepreneurship-focused

entities, mentors and investors.
