BAHRAIN BOURSE CONCLUDES ITS PARTICIPATION IN THE YOUTH
CITY 2030 PROGRAM
Bahrain Bourse (BHB) has
announced GFH Financial Group
(GFH) as a silver sponsor for
the “Smart Investor” Program in
its 2
nd
edition for the academic
year 2019-2020. The Smart
Investor program is a national
awareness program organized in
collaboration with INJAZ Bahrain,
Bahrain Bourse concluded
its participation in “Youth
City 2030” program in its 10
th
edition, held under the patronage
of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin
Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative
of His Majesty the King for Charity
Wor k and Yout h Affai r s
and Chairman of the Supreme
Council for Youth and Sports
(SCYS), organized by the Ministry
of Youth & Sports Affairs and
supported by Tamkeen as a
strategic partner. The event took
place at the Bahrain International
Exhibition and Convention
Centre from 14

of July to
aiming to promote financial
and investment literacy among
elementary school students in
Bahrain. To formally announce the
sponsorship, Mrs. Narjes Jamal,
Chief Operating Officer of
Bahrain Bourse, received Mr.
Salah Sharif, Chief Administrative
Officer of GFH along with

slogan “Bahraini and proud”.
During the final ceremony of the
Youth City 2030, the first place
winning team was announced
followed by the team with the best
presentation, and the team with
the best financial performance.
Bahrain Bourse’s participation
in the Youth City goes in line
with its awareness programs that
aim to enhance financial literacy
awareness among various age
groups and especially the youth,
and intends to have a positive
long-term effect on both the
community awareness level and on
officials from both organizations.
The Smart Investor program is
a national awareness program
launched in 2018 in collaboration
with INJAZ Bahrain targeting
el ement ar y s tudent s . The
program aims at equipping young
students with basic concepts
related to money management,
the participants of the program.
Bahrain Bourse highly values the
importance of awareness programs
that aim to enhance financial
literacy for various age groups.
Bahrain Bourse has been
running several awareness
programs including the “Smart
Investor Program” which targets
elementary level students, and
“TradeQuest” program which
targets high school and universi-
ty students and has been running
for the past 21 years, in addition
to the “Investment Academy”
which is a joint initiative between
Bahrain Bourse & BIBF aimed
savings and smart financial
p l a n n i n g
t h r o u g h
i n t e r a c t i v e e d u t a i nme n t
activities in order to assist them in
making sound financial decisions.
The Prog r am consists of
seven-themed sessions designed
to equip students with the
following concepts: Thinking,
S p e c i f y i n g , P l a n n i n g ,
E x e c u t i o n ,
S a v i n g ,
Progression, and Evaluation.
The 2
nd
edition of the Smart Investor
Program will kick-off during
the academic year 2019-2020. A
‘Smart Investor Summer Event’ is
planned to take place at the West
Wing of the Seef Mall during
12-13 July 2019 which includes
a series of edutainment activities
for children of various age groups
designed to help them gain
practical financial knowledge.

Bahr ain Bours e’s Tr ading
Challenge is a virtual trading
competition aimed at providing
participants with practical
experience of trading in the
stock market, where students
are expected to analyze and
select, and manage a portfolio of
equities listed on Bahrain Bourse.
