AMEDA Elects Bahrain Clear Representative as Vice Chairman

Bahrain Clear (a fully-owned subsidiary of Bahrain Bourse) an-

nounced the election of the Senior Director of Operations of the

Company, Mr. Abdulla Abdin, as Vice Chairman of the Africa and

Middle East Depositories Association (AMEDA) during the As-

sociation’s Global meeting that was held recently in Hong Kong.

During the meeting, Mr. Mohamed Abdulsalam has been elected

as AMEDA President for the fourth consecutive year, and Mr.

Abdulla Abdin, Senior Director of Operations of Bahrain Clear,

was elected as Vice Chairman.

It is worth mentioning that Mr. Abdulla Abdin has joined Bah-

rain Bourse in 2004, and progressed within various positions at

Bahrain Bourse. Mr. Abdin has been recently appointed as Senior

Director of Operations of Bahrain Clear that has commenced its

operations on 17

July 2017. Mr. Abdin has over 21 years of ex-

perience in the banking and capital markets sector, and holds a

Masters Degree from Glamorgan University in the UK.
