Key Takeaways:

- A leader is: a person with good

communication skills, shares in-

formation and knowledge, honest

and not a hypocrite, makes time

for people, makes people special,

and puts the good of the organi-

zation before his personal good.

- Characteristics of trust-wor-

thy leaders are: ability, benevo-

lence, integrity, and predictability.

- Trust can be enhanced be-

tween the leader and subor-

dinates by exposing them to

social aspects of their person-

al life (up to a certain extent).

- Leaders should recognize and

appreciate the work of subor-

dinates with high performance

and growth potential. Recog-

nition and appreciation is not

always in monetary format.

- Inductions given to new staff

on the organization’s busi-

ness and products plays a big

role in enhancing the sense of

belonging and dedication to-

wards the working environment.

- Screening Interviews to select

new employees can be done in a

way to measure specific aspects of

interest to the company. A good ex-

ample is providing work ethic ex-

amples from their personal life

experiences rather than empha-

sizing on job-related questions.

-

Cross-team

exchanges

within the organization pro-

vides an overall picture of

the business & operations

cycle to the employees.

- Town Hall meetings are es-

sential in keeping the em-

ployees informed of the status

of the organization and get-

ting them involved and fo-

cused on goals and targets.
