The BIBF’s Director, Dr. Ahmed Al
Shaikh said: “The BIBF’s Centre for
Banking aspires to be in the fore-
front of imparting practical and
useful knowledge to all participants
who attend its programmes. The
Investment Academy is an example
of disseminating professional train-
ing opportunities on trading, in-
vestment, saving, foreign exchange
and much more to everyone who
is keen to learn the options that
are available for investing and sav-
ing and enable them to fulfill their
personal goals on wealth creation.”
The Investment Academy, which
is an investor education train-
ing provider within the Cap-
ital Markets

technical market know-how tar-
geted towards beginner, interme-
diate, and professional investors
to enhance their capital markets
knowledge with innovative teach-
ing methods and technologies.
The Investment Academy aims
at capacity building and further
bolstering Bahrain’s position as a
financial center for banking. This
milestone aims at further expand-
ing Bahrain’s horizon and mar-
ket positioning to also become
an intellectual hub for capital
markets training and knowledge.
The Investment Academy’s offer-
ing mandate will cover public
awareness sessions, professional
certifications as well as key trend-
ing topics in capital markets.
The Investment Academy targets a
broad spectrum of audiences from
students to individual investors and
small business investors providing
them with the basic knowledge of
financial products and investment
strategies. The Investment Acad-
emy will cover both professional
certifications (including Series 7,
Series 79) as well as general Capi-
tal Markets focused programmes.
The Investment Academy will help
develop the critical skills and ca-
pacity of the investment industry
to harness the potential of the cap-
ital markets. With this, the BIBF
aims to train an immense num-
ber of participants and become a
trusted partner with delivering a
range of programmes that meet
various levels of investing and
trading knowledge to broaden the
range of investment awareness and
know-how across the Kingdom for
seasoned and amateur investors.
