emony was held on Saturday, 6
th
of May 2017 where high school
government students taking part
in the TradeQuest Program, or-
ganized by Bahrain Bourse, were
honored at the ceremony. The cer-
emony was attended by students
and their families, senior repre-
sentatives from sponsoring orga-
nizations, other invited guests, as
well as the officials of the Bourse.
On this occasion, Mr. Abdul Ka-
reem Bucheery the Chairman
of Bahrain Bourse was pleased
with the success of the program,
and further emphasized the in-
teraction of the students with
the program and the foundation
of investment principles they
have gained out of TradeQuest.
“This confirms the success of the
Bourse’s strategy in spreading in-
vestment awareness among the
students, which we will expand
in the coming years,” he added.
Mr. Bucheery also expressed the
Bourse’s firm commitment to take
the necessary steps to continue
developing all programs aimed at
spreading investment awareness
among the different categories
of citizens and those interested
in investing in securities in or-
der to benefit from the oppor-
tunities available in this sector.
The Chief Executive Officer of
Bahrain Bourse Sh. Khalifa Bin
Ebrahim Al Khalifa delivered a
speech where he appreciated the
support and commitment of the
strategic partners and sponsors
and their major role to make
TradeQuest a successful training
program for future generations.
Sh. Khalifa also added that the
TradeQuest Program forms one of
the essential pillars in the Bourse’s
strategy raising investment aware-
ness among high school and uni-
versity students. Sh. Khalifa stated:
“The TradeQuest program targets
high school students and provides
them with the opportunity to im-
plement the theoretical knowledge
they learn about the stock markets
and widens up their understanding
of the financial services sector in
Bahrain. This program also focuses
on soft skills such as presentation
skills and teamwork building.”

presented Bahrain Bourse’s Tro-
phy and reward of BD5,000 to
Saar Secondary Girls School,
the first place winner, and a re-
ward of BD3,000 to Al Istiqlal
Secondary Girls School, the sec-
ond place winner and BD2,000
to Khawla Secondary Girls
School, the third place winner.
TradeQuest is a simulated busi-
ness-education partnership pro-
gram that focuses on investment
trading in world financial markets,
which operated for the first time in
the Kingdom of Bahrain in 1998
in cooperation with financial in-
stitutions and educational parties.
The program is geared to provide
high school students close-to-life
experience in the stock markets,
with focus on understanding the
rules and regulations implemented
in those stock markets, the anal-
ysis and selection of stocks, and
portfolio management for equi-
ties listed on NYSE and BHB. The
TradeQuest 2016/2017 program
includes 10 school teams, and
they are Ahmed Al Omran Sec-
ondary Boys School, Al Istiqlal
Secondary Girls School, Al Hidd
Seconday Girls School, Al Noor
Secondary Girls School, Khawla
Secondary Girls School, Al Ta’awon
Secondary Boys School, Al Mu-
harraq Secondary Boys School,
Jidhafs Secondary Girls School,
Saar Secondary Girls School and
Isa Town Secondary Boys School.
